GREECE

Europe has always been my dream travel destination, and this was my first time leaving the country. I loved experiencing new customs, incredible scenery, and a completely different culture. Traveling with my friends made the trip unforgettable, and I also met a lot of new classmates along the way. I've documented those moments below. Καλή απόλαυση! (Enjoy!)

Epidavros

I really liked the typography happening in this restaurant.

I took my sketchbook everywhere in this bag and used it three times.

I originally planned to do a sketching series for this assignment but I never ended up drawing anything.

The Islands

The 1927 Poros clock tower was not originally blue.

Mycenae

According to custom, if one is indeed afflicted with the evil eye, both victim and healer then start yawning profusely.

Olympia

An old greek man told me to get this wine and it was pretty good.

Delphi

Seeing the Charioteer of Delphi

was very special.

My most expensive souvenir

is a pair of Minoan inspired earrings from the Olympia museum shop.

My favorite parts were the food, parties, walking everywhere, and the mountains. We packed every day with adventures, waking up early and staying out late because I wanted to see as much as possible.

I came home with cool souvenirs, swam in the Mediterranean, got hit on by a lot of Greek guys, and drank wine with every meal. Most importantly, I made memories with some of my favorite people.
